Informed women are empowered women

Between October and November Fundación Margen developed its training course of Chilean and migrants instructors for HIV/AIDS prevention.

Fundación Margen collaborates with a project that aims to monitor government policies on HIV/AIDS and STIs.

Between the months of September and October Fundación Margen implemented this project aimed to peer-work on human and legal rights.

Under this slogan the female sex workers from Fundación Margen participated in the 1st National Meeting of People Living with HIV / AIDS in Chile.

After some persecutions experienced, fellows from Margen held meetings with neighbors and police authorities to raise awareness and transform.

On June 2 it was commemorated —for the first time in the history of Chile— the International Day of Female Sex Workers.

After a news show filmed sex workers with hidden cameras, Fundación Margen express their opposition against this invasion of privacy.

Fellows of Fundación Margen are working hard in accompanying immigrant sex workers women, with the support of the Embassy of Finland.

Last May 12th fellow workers from the Fundación Margen commemorated their 13th anniversary.

Fellows from Fundación Margen with various social actors met in ILO to discuss policies for the prevention of HIV and AIDS in road transport sector.
