OMES attended the Second Congress of Working Women «After a year, the fight continues before labor panic”.
OMES fellow workers from Guatemala participated in the 2nd Working Women Congress called “After a year, the fight continues before labor panic” held from May 13th to May 15 at Princess Hotel. Workers from several Departments and State authorities participated. During the congress, attendees were divided into groups to discuss issues such as youth & working indigenous women, violence & labor harassment, labor justice, women & work and women’s economic development, among others. By the end of the congress, they draw up a document with recommendations that were sent to the Guatemalan delegation participating in the 100 session of the International Labor Organization to be held in June.
