The Asociación de Mujeres Meretrices de la Argentina had an outstanding participation in the National Congress held in San Juan province in late August.

From 24 to 27 of August, the Third National Congress on AIDS carried out in San Juan province, Argentina, organized by the Interdisciplinary AIDS Society (SAIS). Ammar had a strong showing at the meeting, not only to participate as exhibitors in six tables in the area of ​​social sciences, but also for its presentation of posters and their performance in a theater workshop in the new cultural space with which Congress count for the first time.

Furthermore, during the four days, AMMAR held an information stand in which —among other things— collected signatures in support of the law project for the regulation of sex work in which the organization is working. «I think the Congress of San Juan left a large balance and we could make some contacts to link the identity law with the sex work law and fight them together», said Claudia Carranza, General Secretary of Ammar Paraná.
