In April fellow workers from the organization in Peru gave a number of informative talks in different areas in order to provide awareness on human rights to sex workers.

On April 7th they held a meeting with 11 sex workers of the Avenida Masusa area. “To us it is a new place where we have to work hard on human rights and on HIV/AIDS coordination” explained Silvia Torres Canayo, TS representative in Peru. “The end is also to know our referential center and the work we have been doing as a sex workers association. We also gave leaflets reading LETS TALK ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS providing information to our fellow workers”. One of the results is having established a day so that workers can visit our referential health center and take health exams”. Furthermore on May 20th a visit to Plaza 28 de Julio was organized in order to talk with local fellow workers. Fourteen sex workers participated in the talk to foster the Community Center and keep on expanding the regional ordinance.
