This year, and for the third time in history, Nicaragua commemorated the International Sex Workers day in June 2nd.

The Asociacion Girasoles from Estelí and Asociación Golondrinas from Matagalpa held joint activities to celebrate their day. Maria Elena Davila from Asociación Girasoles stated: “On June 2nd we were able to show and prove ourselves that we have grown. We know our rights and how to demand them, together and with strength we carried out concrete actions with clear strategies”.
