Peru REDTRASEX participated actively in the fair for the International Day of the Fight against HIV which was held at the «28 de Julio» square. From very early times, they began with the tent assembly together with other human rights organizations. Silvia Torres commented: «We do briefings with general public for raising awareness and working against stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV/AIDS and to our population of sex workers women. This year, I felt that our fellows are more committed to the activities… They themselves took the initiative to make their own materials to provide the information. I think this is the result of small conversations we do with guests from different institutions to be taught about rights and duties», and she added: «Fellows themselves suggested that we should plan to do more HIV prevention campaigns, aware that there is no need to wait to 1st of December».
