On June 2nd the National Panama Network celebrated for the very first time the International Sex Workers Day.
At noon fellow workers met at Hotel Roma in Panama city and made a toast for unity and the struggle for a better life quality for all fellow workers. Approximately 30 women were present, many with their children. Fellow worker Juana Ramona Torres said a few words welcoming the support for the organizational project, such as the international agency UNAIDS and Asociación Viviendo Positivamente among others. Later graphical material was presented which was a result of a workshop on sex infection prevention that will be used to work with their fellow workers in working areas.
