Girasoles signed an agreement with the General Prosecutor which provides training and assistance.
On September 20, the Asociación de Mujeres Trabajadoras Sexuales Girasoles signed an agreement with the Prosecutor for the Defense of Human Rights to promote and defend the collective rights of sex workers women. It is the second agreement that the entity signed with the Prosecutor. María Elena Davila Ocampo, leader of the Asociación de Mujeres Girasoles, said that before, when they denounced, the authorities did not listen and now the situation is different: they call for assistance and sex workers women are immediately attended.
The Asociación de Mujeres Trabajadoras Sexuales Girasoles consists of 480 members of the municipalities of Managua, Estelí, León, Masaya, Carazo, Granada, Chinandega, Somotillo, Corinto, Chichigalpa, Ocotal, Chontales, Matagalpa y Jinotega.
