RedTraSex joined the regional campaign against the persecution of people living with HIV in the Dominican Republic.

We demand the removal of Articles 78 and 79 of the Law on HIV/AIDS (153-11) of the Dominican Republic for violating human rights of people living with HIV, gay people, Trans and female sex workers.

Punish by imprisonment not to unveiling the HIV status is nothing but a persecution of Dominicans. Criminalizing does not contribute in reducing HIV/AIDS, it only promotes more stigma and discrimination, criminalizing HIV transmission.
